🔹 Hello, Lake Como.
✈️ I’m reporting from the Malpensa airport, where the holiday cheer is currently at an all-time low. Or maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the local events last week.
Last week’s highlight was easily the Live Preseppe in Cernobbio. Local elders acted as blacksmiths and fisherman, toddlers in sheep costumes wandering off-script, and the Mayor of Cernobbio himself made a cameo as one of the Three Kings.
The night ended exactly how every night should: with neighbours serving cookies and tea from someone’s yard and a massive communal spread of panettone and hot wine in the church square.
The big takeaway from the last 2 weeks? Smaller towns are officially outperforming the massive Christmas markets this year.
P.S. No data analysis and fewer business things this week. It’s the last week of the year - time to unplug a bit.
