Como Startup Scene Is Getting a Reboot

What’s Happening: Lake Como Football Club partnered with The Players Fund and launched Como Ventures - a startup and investment platform for early stage founders.
Up to now, the main gravity center for startups and innovation around Lake Como were Como NeXT and Como Lecco Chamber of Commerce. This season things are heating up with some private initiatives.
Como Ventures want to position Como at the intersection of sport, venture capital and lifestyle.
Now they are calling startups to apply for their program. You have 1 month.
Facts:
There are 6 topics Como Ventures claim to be focusing on, but there are over 40 to choose from when you are filling out application. It’s far from being only sports related.
Applications are open till the end of October. You can apply here.
Selected founders will present at a Pitch Day in November.
Successful companies will enter a 6 month activation inside the club.
Final Demo Day will happen later in the Season with media present.
What does it mean for us:
Shortcut for local founders & operators. If you’re building in one of the 6 themes, you now have a fast track to pilot inside Como 1907, get real users, club reach, and a 6-month activation.
New deal flow for investors & partners. Expect Seed/Series A opportunities curated around sport × X × lifestyle, plus co-pilot options with the club’s assets (stadium, hospitality, merch, media), creating distribution from day one.
