Facts:
Tuscany and Lombardy leads American real estate interest (60%), Lake Como alone captures 14.8% of national interest.
Nearly half of U.S. buyer interest goes to the top 10 areas - and 6 of them are on the water.
Biggest year-over-year increase: Lombardy: 21% & Sardinia: +36%.
Biggest year-over-year drop: Sicily -19.2%.

Lake Como is the benchmark.β¨With 14.8% of all U.S. interest nationwide, the lake isnβt just popular - itβs Italyβs most watched luxury market among American buyers.
Waterfront is the new gold?β¨6 of the 10 most searched Italian destinations are on the water - proof that lifestyle, views, and exclusivity drive global demand more than urban prestige.
Momentum is in Lombardy.β¨A +21% YoY growth puts our region among Italyβs fastest-rising markets - signaling continued upside for Como-area properties and developments.
Polarization is widening.β¨While Sardinia and Lombardy grow, regions like Sicily (-19.2%) lose traction - meaning capital and attention are concentrating even more around Northern and waterfront assets.
A few weeks ago, we looked into a 2025 summer trends research and it showed that 70% of tourists made their holiday decision based on social media. I cannot help but wonder if we are seeing a similar pattern here.
